Problems with Subdomains after Migration

hi,

several days ago i had problems with subdomains on website bookhostelbook.com and that problem was solved

but today some of the subdomains that I re-created are down (at least one traveldirectory.bookhostelbook.com)

I re-entered redirection / deleted and re-created it sveral times, with or without trailing "/"... but it's not working whatever setting I try and I think I tried all possibilities

other sub-domains are working (at least some), slow to open (that could be from my local connection) but working

but regardless what I do, www.traveldirectory.bookhostelbook.com is 404

Thanks if you can tell me what's going on

Kindly

PS, that subdomain worked when I created it 3 days ago, I checked it several times then

Hi,

http://traveldirectory.bookhostelbook.com/ is resolving and opening ok, however there is an error within your redirection:

[Fri Jun 20 03:50:00 2008] [error] [client 77.237.111.120] File does not exist: /home/hostelbo/public_html/link_mgr/index.html/

[Fri Jun 20 03:50:00 2008] [error] [client 77.237.111.120] File does not exist: /home/hostelbo/public_html/link_mgr/index.html//bookhostelbook/link_mgr/common.php

You should check your index.html script and also .htaccess file under folder /home/hostelbo/public_html/link_mgr/

Please let us know if you need any further assistance.

hi,

I removed these files that had nothing to do here: .htaccess and common.php... they dont' belong to this script and were probably put there by a hacker

but http://www.traveldirectory.bookhostelbook.com is still not resolving... if it's resolving on your side, do you see an orange and white page? if yes... then... not sure what to do... I guess I'll wait a couple of hours

the page opens properly when I call it from the normal location: www.bookhostelbook.com/link_mgr/index.html

but not from the redirect... redirect is traveldirectory.bookhostelbook.com ----> home/public_html/link_mgr/index.html... I don't see why not work...

Hi,

it is still throwing 404 not found error, and I've checked your subdomain configuration, it is completely wrong, all your subdomains are not set up correctly.

You have set path to a file in Document Root section, this is not valid and it won't work properly. Document Root needs to be path to a folder only and than within that folder you can have index page, or you can than use Manage Redirection link there to redirect requests to a certain file.

Please check this and let us know if you need any further assistance.
